Catherine called upon musicians they’d both come to know and admire, the cream of New York City based players, to bring Paul’s song to life. Shawn Pelton, renowned drummer and percussionist in the Saturday Night Live house band, was a friend from Shawn’s work with Rosanne Cash. Russell Hall is a highly sought after musician and songwriter and first call bassist on the jazz scene. Matt Munisteri, on guitars, is Catherine’s longtime musical director, with a knack for playing all styles with his own original signature.

Paul is musician/songwriter, who previously released one album of his originals, “These Ears And Eyes,” and had his songs and co-writes covered by Catherine Russell, The Holmes Brothers, C.J. Chenier, Luther “Guitar Junior” Johnson, Tasty Licks, Kenny Barron, and Eddy Clearwater. A myriad of roots music influences from Paul’s career as a musician and booking agent; reggae, bluegrass, zydeco, cowboy songs, rock n roll, country, & folk…are seamlessly infused into the performances on Paul’s EP.
